ISI (VoiceXML-Application).

ISI is a speaking information agent which was being implemented with the help of modern speech recognition technology and Voice XML.ISI was being developed as a F & E prototype to evaluate the commercial practicability of use for VoiceXML.

ISI enables the user to the fast access to data, appointments and addresses and also the sending of E-Mails and Voice Mails. ISI can be accessed independent of time or place. One may be working form home at the PC or may be on the road in the car.

ISI has functions like:

• management of appointments and addresses
• sending of voice mails (as an audio file)
• management of files
• surfing in indexes and sub indexes
• reading out the content of files

F.ex. ISI may be set up in secretarial tasks, Call Center or HelpDesks. The basic technology of speech recognition and text to speech is constantly being further developed therefore in the future Voice XML will be an interesting option or an optional user interface.
